Job Description/Requirements

Job Title: ICT Officer (1 Post) REF: KFCB/HR/5/2021
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Grade: KFCB 6

Job Purpose: Assist with technical support in combination of onsite and remote support provision as well as back-end technical support for ICT infrastructure and systems.

Responsibilities
a) Coordinating the process of configuration of new Information Communication Technology equipment;
b) Assist in coding, testing and implementing computer programs,
c) Assist in providing user support and documenting problems logs;
d) Assist in implementation and maintenance of Information Communication Technology equipment and associated peripherals;
e) Assist in drawing up hardware specifications and certifying of Information Communication Technology equipment;
f) Assist in verifying validating and configuring of new Information technology equipment;
g) Assist in configuring and maintaining network information and network security systems;
h) Assist in installing and deployment of relevant hardware and software;
i) Assist in training users; and assisting in performing technical, systems and user documentation;
j) Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems

Specifications/Requirements for Appointment;
a) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Management and Information Technology or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
b) A member a relevant professional body
c) Proficiency in Computer applications
