WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re looking to add a B2B Sales Manager to our customer engagement team: the team that supports hundreds of retailers to make better quality furniture every day. You’ll be responsible to run the day-to-day operations of the team ensuring that everyone is putting their best to realize our vision to reach thousands of homes. You’ll be an excellent project manager who is able to juggle a variety of tasks under tight timelines. You’ll have an eye to set systems that can spur innovation and efficiency. Finally, you’ll be an excellent people manager, who can coach and grow the team.

THE ROLE IN BRIEF

Manage and grow a motivated team

  • Coordinate and manage Customer Engagement officers’ lead activities including client engagement, client visits, demand planning and lead generation
  • Lead and coordinate capacity building in the team. This includes identifying missing skills in individuals, coaching & mentoring members in the team to grow these skills & hiring the right candidates who exude the requisite skills to maintain a high performing team
  • Support Senior Officers on the team in data analysis to identify the right data and draw the correct conclusions that will drive initiatives & interventions to achieve team’s objectives
  • Create & maintain a high-performance culture in the team where data-driven decisions are made in a timely manner to facilitate the attainment of set goals
  • Support the Head of B2B Sales from time to time to roll out initiatives & projects that enhance customer value-delivery & top line growth

Manage special projects and key accounts

  • Assist & support the team on key account management to drive down receivables’ performance from 120 days to 60 days
  • Be the point of contact for other departments on design-to-execution of systems relevant to the customer engagement team and that support inter-departmental collaboration
  • Support targeted initiatives development & manage rollout to drive up sales
  • Lead the initiative to find new channels & roll out new products
  • Act as a liaison to the leadership team to keep them updated about operations and project implementation
  • Run the market intelligence function which requires understanding our market in detail to facilitate sound tactical decision-making
  • Agile execution of market initiatives, market tests, clearance sales & other short-term initiatives as they arise

ARE YOU OUR DREAM CANDIDATE?

  • You have at least 4 years’ experience in a sales or customer relations role with at least 2 years in a management role
  • You possess excellent project management & organization skills
  • You have great leadership and people management skills with proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
  • You have great multi- tasking skills and can manage multiple parallel initiatives alongside daily operational activities
  • You are proficient in Microsoft office & google sheets
  • You are results-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills
  • You are driven & eager to join a quickly-growing organization and team
