Main Purpose of the Job

This position reports to the Lead Network Development Engineer and will be join a team responsible for network development of the backbone and last mile infrastructure of KENET as well as providing campus network development advisory services. 

Requirements for the Job

  • The ideal candidate shall have an electrical engineering degree from a recognized university and be registered or registrable as a professional engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya.
  • With at least 5 years of hands-on practical experience with design and implementation of large enterprise IP networks with a variety of layers 1 to 3 networking equipment.
  • The candidate should have some programming in Python or C, system automation experience using Ansible or Puppet and basic systems administration in Linux environment.
  • Industry certifications with different networking equipment vendors shall be an added advantage
