Location: Nairobi

Gross Salary: 100k – 150k + Commissions

Job Purpose: We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help our client expand the clientele. You will be required to have dedication to create and apply effective sales strategies that drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

  • Identify consumer needs and provide detailed information on how to meet the need
  • Advise clients on technical matters regarding the software and recommend suitable computer configurations
  • Come up with presentations to demonstrate product features and sales pitches
  • Submit orders for sales processing Help potential customers maximize the use of the software’s features
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Negotiate with prospects to reach a reasonable selling price and draw up service agreements
  • Answer queries from potential and existing clients on how to use the product
  • Advise customers on suitable user training

Key Qualifications and Competencies

  • A Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field.
  • minimum of 3 years’ experience in promoting and carrying out demos for various software solutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the field of B2B sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Sales/Business Development knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and improve the profitability and competitive performance of the business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original Sales and branding opportunities.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and organizational skills
