Brand To Store Manager Job

JUMIA is an e-commerce startup with an aim to mimic Amazon’s success by delivering a wide range of items, from toys to generators across the African continent. Shortly after the startup of the business in Nigeria, JUMIA launched warehouses in four other growing countries which include: Egypt, Morocco, Kenya and Cote d’Ivoire.

Brand to Store Manager leads B2S channel end to end through team management, PnL ownership, pricing strategy, brand reporting and negotiation, etc .

He/she plays a key role in delivering exponential growth of the channel through team management, strategy execution and performance management.

Secondly, he/she is in charge of recruiting, training and driving sales of new retailers with the support of his/her sales team.

Finally, he /she must deliver a world class experience to its retailer network.


  1. Develop and implement business plan
  2. Manage a team of 15+ sales representatives
  3. Spend significant time in the field with the sales team and stores to collect insights about Jumia & our model, then transform it into actionable levers.
  4. Drive recruitment and  onboarding of stores
  5. Reach sales, recruitment, engagement, activation targets
    1. Deliver exceptional growth of stores database through combination of digital and field work
    2. Delivering engagement of stores measured through order repetition rate
    3. Deliver strong activation rate of the database through training
  6. Support assortment replenishment and sourcing
  7. Drive sales of full B2S assortment
  8. Drive performance actions based on data insights and business analytics
  9. Manage PnL end to end to drive profitability
  10. Weekly report on performance vs target and action taken during the week.


Expected background and technical skills:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from top business schools and universities,
  2. 5+ years of professional experience in project management, company creation or  FMCG distribution.
  3. Strong expertise of Kenya distribution market
  4. Proven track record of impact.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel

  2. Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and convince internal and external stakeholders off Brand to Stare vision
  3. Eager to spend time in the field with the team and stores
  4. Organized and detail oriented
  5. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, being agile
  6. Ability to work autonomously
  7. English & French speaking
